I am not sure why I chose to do this, but I am making all of the dresses for my wedding. I found a really gorgeous vintage pattern. I really wanted to be able to use it for the wedding. I had not seen any dresses like it, so if I wanted these dresses, I would have to make them. It is actually kind of fun. I have been using part of the sewing time as the time that I use to think about all of my plans. I find that I am much more creative then than I am otherwise. I bought all of my materials through a wholesale fabrics website online. They had beautiful formal dress fabrics in just the right colors. I was able to find the softest hint of pink, which is what most of the dresses will have. I think that once I am done, I will have something for which to be quite proud.

Dad Takes on the Christmas Sock
I just made Christmas Stocking for my family. It is going to be a big surprise. Almost as big as surprise that Dad is the one that made them. We have a motley collection of Christmas stockings. Mine is from the sixth grade, my wife’s is from college. The kids are just something we got quick at the dollar store. Now that the kids are older my wife has been looking for Socks. Well My wife just got a new sewing machine because her old one finally gave up the ghost. We searched online and after reading sewing machine reviews we got the Brother that does embroidery as well. Since the sewing machine does embroidery I decided I would make the socks. After reading some blogs and getting some hints at the forums I saw online I went and go my fabric and the right colored thread for my socks. I got burgundy velveteen with gold for the accent on the toes, heel and cuff and then a nice green and burgundy thread for the embroidery. I set up and did the embroidery first. That came out great. Then I pieced and sewed together the socks. They look great especially for a novice like me. The stitches all look uniform and there is consistency. I feel good about this Christmas gift.
Turning Memories into Something You Won't Forget
Normal printing paper can handle your photo printing needs at most times, but that really isn’t the solution you want to take when you are trying to capture important memories to hang around the home. In times like those you need to find a printing alternative that will reproduce your image on a high-quality background that can be framed and looked upon fondly by anyone who may pass it by. Canvas photo printing has always been my favorite when it came to getting those memories solidified in ink. There are a lot of different options and styles you can go with; it all depends on the mood and situation of the photo. Your pictures can be framed, hung, shipped, sold, or whatever you may like without worrying about a poor-quality in their appearance. Of course, part of the battle is using the right camera and getting the right picture, but once you have passed that step, the rest should be an easy decision.
Making It Work
The most simple way of decorating the basketball court at the school is with pipe and drape from OnlineEEI.com. I think it is important that we order as soon as we can so that we can have it by the time of the event! Sometimes, it is hard to decide where and how we are going to hold an event for the students. I hope that they really appreciate our efforts. We try working hard, but we try being as efficient as possible too. There hasn’t been a time when we haven’t delivered yet, so this is something that we can all appreciate! I know that I am going to be working hard for the next couple of weeks getting this all together, but I think that the best part about it is having it work well for us. I don’t want to disappoint the kids. I just couldn’t imagine that happening.

Take Care of Your Elna Sewing Machine
When you own a sewing business, it is really important that you have quality machinery. When you are down due to maintenance or repair, it is costing you money. You might have to wait for parts to arrive or have employees sitting around twiddling their thumbs. It’s always a good idea to spend the money upfront and buy a really nice Elna sewing machine. That way, you know that you are going to have as much uptime as possible.
You do want to spend some time to maintenance the sewing machine on a weekly basis. You should go into the machine and oil all of the moving and mechanical parts. That way, you won’t have anything seize up and burn out a motor or cause an expensive malfunction. It’s also a good idea to look under the hood for any unusual wear that could signal a potential problem for you now or down the road.
Does the CHI Live Up to the Hype
Did you know that the Chi Hair Straightener is the first one of its kind in the market? This brand is the first one to release ceramic-made flat irons that are safe to use on the hair as it doesn’t give a damaging effect like the old models of hairstyling tools that use copper plates. Today’s latest CHI hair straighteners can even come in a digital type wherein you can be more in control of the temperature setting of your device. These modern units have a digital monitor that you can see clearly at almost any angle; and through this feature, you can select the exact temperature that you prefer. If you really want a hot flat iron, you can set it at the maximum heating temperature of 392 degrees Fahrenheit. And if you want to set it at a low temperature, the minimum temperature for this styling tool is 176 degrees Fahrenheit. It is however recommended that you stay within the standard styling temperature which is around 350 degrees Fahrenheit; this has been observed to be the most effective temperature for straightening all types of hair.
The Origin of Jack-o'-lantern
The Jack O’Lantern is the carved pumpkin which symbolizes Halloween. The term originally meant “night watchmen” or “man with the lamp”. Typically, the top of the pumpkin is taken off and candles are placed inside to illuminate the image, usually faces of monsters, from the inside. The Irish have brought this tradition to America. Its origin came from the legend of Stingy Jack where he tricked the Devil when he was not allowed to enter heaven and hell. The Devil tossed him an ember from the flames of hell which he put on his turnip. He used this light to wander in darkness of the earth for eternity. The Irish used to carve out the original Jack-o-lantern
from turnip, gourds and beets and put light in them to keep the spirits and Jack the Stingy away. In the 19th century, waves of Irish immigrants arrived at America where they discovered that pumpkins are bigger and easier to carve.
